Everyday Defense will give you the skills for immediate selection and usage of improvised weapons against an imminent threat. Employing “weapons of opportunity” from several key categories of improvised weapons including edged items, impact items, flexible objects, and daily use – this course enables graduates to quickly identify and effectively use any object in their immediate environment as an improvised weapon.

Scope of study includes defense against firearms, edged weapons and impact weapons in the event of an attack at close quarters. Topics include empty hand versus weapons, reactive defense against close quarter attacks, immediate recognition and effective use of improvised weapons. Graduates will leave with a usable skillset for recognizing and using “weapons” including edged, impact, flexible (t-shirt, belt, scarf) and other objects of opportunity based on what is readily available at any given time.
